The Ancestors’ Surnames Bag (embroidered) personalised with up to 16 family surnames embroidered onto one side of the bag (that’s all the surnames of your great, great grandparents). It’s great for carrying around your family history research and books. You get to choose which surname appears in the middle of your design and its colour. I will create your design placing the other surnames around the central name and choosing their colours and fonts. Once your design is complete, I will send it to you for you to check (especially the spellings) and approve before I make your bag. The design appears on one side of the bag. It can be carried over the shoulder or by hand. It’s great for carrying around your family history research and books. Other bag designs are available.

Size & materials: 40 x 38 cms, made from cotton drill with cotton webbing. Colours: (1) black fabric, red webbing and red, orange and yellow lettering; (2) cream fabric, cream webbing and red, black and grey lettering; (3) cream fabric, cream webbing and red, orange and yellow lettering; (4) cream fabric, cream webbing and multi colour lettering. Washing instructions: wash on a gentle cycle, iron on a low heat on the reverse of the embroidery with a cloth between the bag and your iron to help protect the embroidery work.

Once ordered, please e-mail your ancestors’ surnames to me, including which surname you would like in the middle of your design and its colour. Let me know your choice of fabric colour (black or cream), webbing and thread colours. I’ll provide a proof for you as soon as possible. Once approved I’ll embroider the surnames onto the bag.
