Description
The Ancestors’ Surnames Apron (embroidered) is personalised with the surnames of five generations of your ancestors (that’s your surname, the surnames of your parents, your grandparents, your 8 great, grandparents and your 16 great, great grandparents). You get to choose which surname appears in the middle of your design and its colour. I will create your design placing the other surnames around the central name and choosing their colours and fonts. Once your design is complete, I will send it to you for you to check (especially the spellings) and approve before I make your apron. The back of the apron is made from the same material to cover up the back of the embroidery design. Other apron designs are available.
This is a great way to showcase your family history research. The apron makes a perfect gift for the genealogist in your family and your relatives!
Size & materials: approx. 58 cms wide and 82 cms long. Made from cotton drill and webbing. Colours: black fabric, red webbing and red, orange and yellow lettering or cream fabric, red webbing and red, black and grey lettering. Washing instructions: wash on a gentle cycle. Iron the embroidery with a cloth between the apron and your iron to help protect the embroidery work. Iron on a low heat.

Once ordered, please e-mail your ancestors’ surnames to me, including which surname you would like in the middle of your design and its colour. Let me know your choice of fabric colour (black or cream). I’ll provide a proof for you as soon as possible. Once approved I’ll embroider the surnames onto the apron.
